Our dietitians are body inclusive and trauma-informed and have each worked in clinical eating disorder treatment settings. We are deeply passionate about creating a safe space for all individuals and challenging oppressive diet culture systems particularly those who impact folks in marginalized bodies.
You are the only person who knows what’s right for your body. Our dietitians will partner with you to provide nutrition counselling and create individualized recommendations to support healing your relationship with food. As we work together, we adapt with your feedback.
We do not prescribe strict eating plans. We rely on your body experience alongside a lens of gentle nutrition and principles from Intuitive Eating™ to support you in reconnecting to your body’s internal cues and making peace with food.
We are aligned with Health at Every Size (HAES®) and believe in accessible unbiased health care for all. We provide inclusive care for all bodies and support our clients in advocating for the same when necessary. We do not prescribe weight loss.
We acknowledge that every person holds strength and wisdom in their own lives. You have learned to survive in powerful ways that we want to validate and build upon in our work together.
We acknowledge the harm caused by diet culture, weight stigma and systemic oppression particularly for folks in marginalized bodies. Our values are rooted in providing inclusive care and challenging these systems.
All of our dietitians have clinical experience in eating disorder treatment and have undergone additional training and learning to support folks in healing their relationship with food. Our practice uses a combination of evidence-based treatment modalities and recognize there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
We acknowledge that external forces impact body safety and the unique process of engaging in recovery. We also understand you may still be engaging in disordered eating behaviours and that’s okay. Our goal is to support you to make change at your own pace in the safest way possible while honouring your body’s autonomy.
We are commited to ongoing learning and recognizing our own biases and privileges. We make mistakes and value feedback to improve our accountability and understanding in lived experience.
Evidence states that early intervention is important for best outcomes as well as maximizing support when motivation is high. Waitlists for public services are often long and sometimes inaccessible depending on diagnosis. Our service acknowledges that all forms of disordered eating are valid and deserving of unbiased care.
