Creative Food-Inspired Halloween 2024 Costume Roundup

Raising the next generation of Little Foodies

We might be a little biased as dietitians, but seriously, who doesn’t love a good food-themed costume for kids?

At Little Spuds Nutrition, we’ve always been about fostering happy, positive relationships with food. And as foodies raising the next generation of little foodies, what better way to get playful with food than to turn it into a fun costume? We know that one of the first steps to creating a healthy relationship with food is learning to have a little fun with it—so let’s dive into some creative ways to do just that!

Whether you’re dressing up your little one or just browsing for inspiration, we’ve compiled a list of our favourite food-themed Halloween costumes for 2024. Let’s give a round of applause for these genius ideas!

Neurodivergent-Friendly Tips

While we love all these costumes, we also want to acknowledge that not every costume is suitable for every child.

For some kiddos, Halloween can be a lot. If that’s the case, we recommend easing into the holiday at your child’s pace. Let them choose their own costumes. Aim for comfortable, non-itchy fabrics so they feel confident and secure.
